How Long Can Acoustic Solution Play?

From 5 minutes to 3 hours generally. Acoustic Solution have performed just 2 songs at a conference through to a dual performance at a wedding: acoustic styles with the duo in the afternoon and the full band line-up for the dance. Sets are generally 45 – 60 minutes with a 15 minute break. Latest end time is generally midnight, with later finishes or longer playing times subject to negotiation.

Where Can Acoustic Solution Play?

Inside or outside! As long as there is a safe, reliable power supply and at least 4sqm of firm, level space. Marquees MUST be waterproof!  Acoustic Solution supply their own basic lighting and top of the line sound equipment requiring one hour to set up. For large venues or audiences (150+) a larger sound system may be required to ensure clarity and an uncompromised, professional performance: inspection of the venue will determine equipment requirements. 99% of events are able to be performed using the quality equipment we have.  If a larger Sound System is required, an additional charge will apply.

Will They Be Too Loud?

The instruments used do have to be plugged in (or mic’d up) to be heard, however, Acoustic Solution are easily able to cater to your volume level requirements – from background easy listening through to punchy “get up and dance” pop / rock tunes!

Whatever your venue, or event, consider the Trio as your first option for a dynamic performance! Otherwise consider the Duo as an engaging background to your event. As entertaining or unobtrusive as you require.

Acoustic Solution can provide the means for your favourite listening selection to be played during the breaks if required. Acoustic Solution sound equipment is NOT available for DJs or other performers to utilise at the venue. A mic for speeches may be supplied if requested.

Will you play requests or learn a special song for our event?

Generally, no. Most often, songs that get requested, or learned by the band, never get played again. There is a great deal of effort that goes into learning a song to performance standard, and creating and producing digital backing track.  For an additional fee we may be able to learn a song for your event, as long as it fits our basic instrumentation.  Please enquire.

However, if you have a special song, or signature piece, you wish to have performed at your event, we are happy to play this for you through our sound system: track(s) must be supplied on either CD or an MP3 player. Please advise us in writing before the event.

More and more, we see events, and clients, supplying their own “break” music or musical interludes that have special significance. We encourage you to do this. After all, no-one knows your audience like you!

What Does Acoustic Solution Cost?

Every venue, performance and event is different. To ensure the “best fit” for your event and most professional performance, we will discuss your specific and individual requirements then prepare a costing for you.

A Tax Invoice can be provided for your venue or event and will attract an additional 20% charge for withholding tax. If your venue operates withholding tax paperwork, IRD numbers will be supplied. A booking sheet is supplied at least one month from the event to ensure everybody knows what is required, from start times to dress codes and any special requests.

Additional Information:

Travel out of Christchurch metropolitan area within 50km radius – surcharge $100
Travel outside Canterbury – by negotiation.
Large Sound System – surcharge $100
Minimum Charge – applies for any format up to One Hour.

Deposit Terms and Conditions:

The deposit is 1/3 of the performance fee and is payable 4 weeks prior to the booking date to confirm the event.

Cancellation, in writing, at least 3 weeks prior: refund is 75%

Cancellation, in writing, at least 2 weeks prior: refund is 50%

Cancellation any period closer to the event: deposit is forfeit

A representative of the band will meet with you at least a week prior to the event (at a time and location to suit) to finalise any details, discuss the “run sheet” and simply make sure our part in the event is as hassle free for you as it can be. We pride ourselves on professionalism and effective communication with our clients.  We believe a professional relationship provides confidence and accountability.

The performance fee is required in cash, direct debit, pre-approved cheque or bank cheque no later than the end of the performance unless arranged prior with our agent.
